Seeing how the campground is right off the lake be sure to stake down your tents and coverings well. Storms on the lake front can happen quickly and winds can be strong. Our tent stood up to the winds quite well, but we had our concerns since this was the first time we were using our new larger tent. Overall we left excited for our next chance to come back.
This campground is a hidden gem. My family loved every minute of the short time we spent here. The camp is kept clean and there are plenty of outdoor activities near by. There are several playgrounds nearby and lots of well maintained flat roads that are perfect for riding a bike. There is a store, which is seasonal. There is also a rec center with ping pong tables.A disc golf course is a part of this state park and an absolute must if you're a disc golfer.
We tent camp and there are not a lot of good tent sites available. There is no water access at all and all the sites have gravel for a base. Ouch! If you have a camper you'll be happy there. Spacious and quiet. Nice playgrounds a day plenty of room for kids to run around. Just leave the tents at home
Nice quite park good sized lots and easy to back in 36 ft motorhome. We stayed on D loop, my only complaint would be the shower facilities. You will not be taking any long hot showers here, because the hot water isn't. And the water pressure coming out is like rinsing off with a firehose or power washer, was actually concerned that after rinsing the shampoo out of my hair that the high pressure would blow the hair right from the roots. Got back to the campsite to " wow that was fast " Bathhouse was clean anyway
Great park. Went camping and enjoyed the visit. Will make this a yearly destination.
Beautiful state park! We went on a Monday in summer and it was almost deserted. The disc golf course is incredibly scenic. The views are beautiful, too.
